Michele Davis-Oakes

Michele Louetta Davis-Oakes, 71, of Davenport, passed away Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at Genesis East. Per her request, cremation rites will be accorded. A celebration of her life will be at a later date. Online condolences may be left at www.rungemortuary.com.

She was born February 15, 1951 in Cedar Rapids, IA. She was the daughter of Robert and Viola (Kallenbach) Money. She graduated from Davenport West High School and went on to attend Scott Community College. Her first marriage was to Dan Davis, he preceded her in death. Michele married Charles Oakes in September 1995 in Davenport.

She had worked in various area businesses in the area including AAA Insurance where she was a licensed insurance agent, RIA Credit Union, JC Penney’s and AJ Gallagher. She also worked as a homecare provider for private individuals and for Visiting Angels. In her earlier years, she loved gardening, watching programs on her phone and tidying up her home.

Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Chuck, children: Amber (Dusty) Gold and Bryan Davis; grandchildren: Brittany (Cody) Crawford, Jaiden Thomas and Bella, Jack and Maggie Davis; siblings and extended family members: Sue (Jim) Woods and their children, Shawn and Noel (Amber); Michael (Terry) Money and their children, Dallas and Erica Money. Her parents preceded her in death.
