Nancy J. Wilcox, age 79, passed away on Tuesday July 29, 2025 in Davenport surrounded by her loving family. Nancy was born on June 21, 1946, in Davenport Iowa to Roland B. and Arlene (Carstens) Martens. She was a graduate of Davenport West High School and was united in marriage to Warren Wilcox on February 2, 1965.
Nancy loved her family and worked as a homemaker until her children were grown, later working for Slagels and Walmart. Nancy was an active member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church and had a strong belief in Jesus Christ. Nancy loved volunteering in the church and various roles around the community. She was a huge Elvis Presley fan. Nancy and Warren enjoyed traveling around the midwest attending many Elvis impersonator shows. She also owned an extensive collection of Elvis Presley memorabilia. Her smile and laugh were so contagious and always lit up the room.
She loved her family dearly. Those left to cherish Nancy's memory are her husband Warren Wilcox, daughter Lori (John) Hein, son Jody (Angie) Wilcox, brothers Marvin (Vicki) Martens, Doug (Barb) Martens, five grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents and great grandson Jaxson Colling.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 1, 2025, in the Runge Mortuary Chapel. Memorials may be made in her name to the American Heart Association or St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, Davenport, Iowa. She will be laid to rest in the Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery.
