Norma Marie Stoltenberg

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, January 4, 2019 at The Runge Mortuary. There will be no visitation. Inurnment will be in Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. Online condolences may be left at www.rungemortuary.com.

Norma was born October 6, 1922 in Chicago, IL to Ira and Helen (Canfield) Yager. She married John Stoltenberg Jr. on September 27, 1941 in Kahoka, MO; he preceded her in death. Norma retired from Assumption High School, after 20 years of doing all of the baking in the kitchen.

Norma enjoyed gambling at the casinos with her husband and good friend, Millie Conklin, playing bingo, arts and crafts, and also reading. She has resided at Manor Care since August 12, 2012.

Those left to honor her memory include her son, John (Kathy) Stoltenberg; daughter, Helen L. Crafts (Denny Heiar); grandchildren: William (Diane) Crafts Jr., Dawn (Steve) Watters, Kyle (Angela) Stoltenberg and Claire (Bruce Dunn) Norvell; great-grandchildren: Nicholas Powell, Benjamin Powell, Matthew Powell, Chandra Stoltenberg, Joey Stoltenberg, Jenna Norvell, Zach Norvell, Kyle Smith and Ty Smith; sister-in-law, Mary Jane Sprott; nephews: James (Marge) Warp, Eddie (Denise) Warp and Barry (Mickey) Sprott; and niece, Barbara Sprott.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, John Stoltenberg Jr.; parents, Ira and Helen Yager; in-laws, John and Leila Stoltenberg Sr.; sister, Evelyn Warp; brothers-in-law: Conner Stoltenberg, Arlo Warp and Earl Sprott.
