Patrick L. McDonnell

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 27, in the Runge Mortuary Chapel. Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 26, at the mortuary. He will be laid to rest in Davenport Memorial park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or the Central Community Circle Food Pantry. Patrick was born on October 30, 1940, the son of Joseph E. and Olive M. (Dolan) McDonnell in Davenport, IA. He was a graduate of St. Ambrose Academy High School and St. Ambrose College. On August 17, 1963 he was united in marriage to Patricia Burger in East Moline, IL. He worked for 20 years with French & Hecht before working as a self-employed handyman.

Patrick was a helpful, giving, hardworking man who was generous with his time. He loved to travel. Patrick loved his family dearly and was happiest when they were all together.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 60years, Patti McDonnell; children, Sean (Cathie) McDonnell, Kevin (Lisa) McDonnell, Christy (Mark) Weber, Mark (Michelle) McDonnell, and Matt (Cortney) McDonnell; along with numerous grandchildren; and his brother, Larry McDonnell.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Mike McDonnell.
