Paul C Brentise

Paul C. Brentise, 70, of Davenport, died Saturday, June 25, 2011 at the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House in Bettendorf. Per his request, cremation rites were accorded. There will be no services. Inurnment will be at a later date in Rock Island national Cemetery.

Paul was born June 23, 1941 in Burlington, IA, the son of George and Dorothy (Moyer) Brentise. He served four and a half years in the US Navy. Paul retired from Caterpillar after twenty years of service. He also drove carrier for the US Post Office for four years.

In his spare time, Paul enjoyed woodworking.

Those left to honor his memory include his children: Paula (Samuel) Woodruff, Crofton, KY; Tami McCray, Davenport; Teri (Chris) Clevenger, Davenport and Brian(Julie) Brentise, Vincennes, IN; twelve grandchildren; several great grandchildren; siblings: Donna White, Columbia, MO; Joyce Kidd, LaHarpe, IL; Carol Cook, Burlington, IA; Dorothy Phillips, Davenport, Joseph, Tenn.; Chester, Davenport and Edward Anderson, Wisc.

His parents, a brother Floyd and sisters, Margret Elfgen and Bessie Schmidt preceded him in death.

The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Genesis VNA and the staff at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House for the wonderful care and support shown to his family during his illness.
