Peggy Sue Dockery

Cremation rites will be provided. A memorial visitation will be on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, from 4 pm until 7 pm at the Runge Mortuary.

Peggy was born May 26. 1958 in Greenfield, IA to William and Donna (Phillips) Schneider. She graduated from Davenport Central High School and attended the University of Iowa. She received her associate’s degree from Scott County Community College in computer science.

After graduating, Peggy worked for National Cash Register until it closed. She went to work in the computer department for Tech Systems for over forty years having just retired on December 31, 2025.

She was an avid Iowa Hawkeyes and Kansas City Chiefs fan. She especially liked watching Caitlin Clark and watching the Indiana Fever. Peggy also worked in the beverage industry, having worked serving drinks at Vibrant Arena, the Bix Fest, St. Patty’s Day at the Dam View among others.

She enjoyed putting puzzles together and making beautiful diamond artwork pieces. In earlier years, she loved to cross stitch. Peggy was known for her delicious soups but was an excellent cook all around.

Those left to honor her memory are her sons, Shane, Bettendorf, Alex, recently of Eldridge, and Connor (Courtney), Bettendorf; grandchildren; Sophia, Natalie, and Dixon; Peggy’s parents, Bill and Donna Schneider, Davenport; siblings, Lynn DeRoo, Highlands Ranch, CO, Ted (Claire) Schneider, Eldridge and Beth Ann McComber; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and many, many friends. She was loved by all and will be deeply missed.
