Charlie:  I was so sorry to hear about Phyllis.  You both were wonderful neighbors who always helped out when needed.  Both my Mom and I wish to express our sincere condolences to you and your family.

I think of many words to describe your mother.  Sweet and Caring and Fun are just a few.  She always wanted us to have a good time and we always did. To the Shaffer family,  As one of the girls who got to know Phyliss at St. Luke's and beyond.  I knew her to be a woman of class and great kindness.  She was loved by many caring friends.  What a fighter.  Gods Peace.

My condolence to Charles, Ken and Tina and Nancy.  Phyllis loved you all so much.  She was my very best friend--faithful and encouraging.  I moved to California many years ago and she never gave up hoping I would return to Davenport.  She was so very good to my daughter Kate too.  We were in St. Luke's Nursing School class of 1958 and later roommates.  She was the very best they make.  I hope to see her again. Charles, my heart aches for you.

To the Shaffer family, my sincere condolences go out to all of you. I worked with Phyllis for many years at Genesis, and she was always such a kind and generous woman.    The holidays were always made so special for our little office staff by Phyllis. God has gained another angel. She will be missed by many, and may she rest in peace.

Heaven has another angel enjoying paradise. She left us with wonderful heartwarming memories. This is not goodbye, just farewell until we meet again...save us a seat by the beach Mom.
