Cremation will be done with a memorial service to be held at 12:00pm Thursday, May 14, 2026, at the Runge Mortuary & Crematory. The family will greet friends from 10:00am till 12:00pm Thursday at the mortuary. Memorials in her honor may be made to Camp Courageous. Rebecca was born on April 17, 1950, in Davenport, IA to Robert & Edna (Stock) Pierce. After graduating from Tipton High School she pursued further education at Muscatine Community College, earning her associate’s; Northeast Missouri State University, earning her bachelor’s, & Truman State University, earning her master’s in Special Education. Becky taught in the Missouri school system for several years, later worked at Walmart and REM before retiring from both. Becky was always a “Teacher” including at the memory care unit.

Becky was an avid horse lover, having raised & sold numerous horses. She loved reading, playing cards, gossiping with cousins, traveling, and spending time with family.

Becky is survived by sister, Rachelle (Zip) Wilson-Gatton, Cleburne, TX; brothers, Robert (Carol) Pierce II and their children, Elizabeth & Brody, Altoona, IA; and Roderick (Amie Jo) Pierce, Tipton, IA; and several cousins, especially Donna Helstrom who was a constant friend, companion, and caregiver.

Becky was preceded in death by her parents, numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
