Richard Dale Kolls

Richard D. Kolls, 69, of Rock Island, passed away Monday, December 7, 2015 at home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Friday, December 11, 2015 in the Runge Mortuary Chapel. Visitation will be from 4:00 – 7:00 pm Thursday, December 10, 2015 at the mortuary. Burial will be at Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. Richard was born October 19, 1946 in Moline, IL, son of Albina (Maffeo) Kolls. He served in the Navy during the Vietnam War and worked 37 years at 3M in Cordova, IL retiring in 2008. He was previously married to Kathleen Otten. In 1989 he married Phyllis Perlick Mangelsdorf. He was an avid Cubs, Bears and Bulls fan and loved Sci-Fi. He enjoyed traveling in his retirement years and spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Kolls, Rock Island; sons, Aaron (Krista) Kolls, Adam Kolls and Brett Kolls, all of Normal, IL; stepdaughters, Michelle Mangelsdorf, Moline and Susan Cantrill, Davenport; one grandson; four granddaughters; brother, Robert (Sharon) Kolls, Cape Coral, FL and father-in-law, Ray Perlick, Davenport.
