

Richard “Richie” Reeves, local Quad City musician, 61, of LeClaire passed away Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at University Hospital Iowa surrounded by all his family. A celebration of life ceremony will be held Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at the Runge Mortuary from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm, followed by a funeral ceremony at 6:00 pm. He was born in Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, TX son of Richard and Dorothy (Schoroeder) Reeves. He was employed at Bawden Printing, Eldridge for 28 years, Aerospace control product for four years. He was a drummer for numerous bands: Maynard Stewart, Witness, Tommy Knockers, Spike, Nattyscratch and Hotrods. He loved riding Harley Davidson. He had a love for Mopar cars and English Bulldogs. He enjoyed spending time with family and watching football. He was an avid Vikings Fan. He enjoyed watching drag racing at Cordova and on TV.
Richard was united in marriage to Crystal Danielsen on January 25, 1975. He later married Patricia Fraser on June 25, 1994.
He is survived by his wife Patricia, three daughters: Jessica (Tim) Welch, Erin Baker and Nicole (Joe) Martinez; step children: Scott (Sue) Phares and Jennifer Phares; fifteen grandchildren: Brody, Drew, Desiree, Chance, Austin, Alissa, Joey, Eva, Nathan, Leah, Zach, Zack, Collin, Nic and Jordan; great grandchildren: Saylor and Elijah; three sisters: Susan (Dennis) Justman, Jill Reeves and Jodi Reeves; two brothers: David (Pennie) and Paul Reeves and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his bulldog Otis.
