

Robert “Bob” W. Elwood, 67, of East Moline, IL. passed away September 21, 2017 at Clarissa C Cook Hospice House. A Funeral Service will be held at 12 p.m. on Thursday September 28, 2017 at the Runge Mortuary. Visitation will be held from 10 am until the time of service. Bob was born November 15, 1949 in Minneapolis, MN, to Harry and Helen Kay Elwood. Bob proudly enlisted in the US Army in 1970 and served for 14 years. Bob was a veteran of the Vietnam War. His military career took his family all over the world.
Bob worked in the food and beverage industry; a career he truly had a passion for. He was a lifelong Denver Broncos and WWE wrestling fan. He enjoyed watching the Home and Garden Channel and Sci-Fi movies. He was known for his sense of humor and sarcastic personality. His son Michael was his pride and joy and his best friend.
He is survived by his five children: Michael Elwood, Kristofer Larson, Ann Marie Tank (Adam Doak), Elizabeth (Rob) Bailey and Jean (Matt) Overstake; eleven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He is preceded by his parents and stepmother Maxine Elwood.
