Known famously as “King Fitz” and “Mayor of the Vistas”, Bob touched people’s lives in ways we never knew until his passing. Fitzy (as he was also known) owned his own businesses for many years in downtown Davenport.
Bob was a huge John Wayne fan, had a love for racing having been a pit crew member even in Daytona, loved the Hawkeyes, the Chicago Bears, an occasional VO and Coke...and the ladies!
The family would like to give recognition and immensely thank his best friend and caretaker Elaine. We would also like to thank the entire staff at the Vistas Nursing Home for taking amazing care of Bob. He truly did have a friend in every department of your facility and your countless hours of care and companionship are so greatly appreciated.
Those left to carry on his legacy are his 7 children; Craig (Wendy) Fitzgibbon, Kevin (Kathleen) Fitzgibbon, Kelly (Rick) Doyle, Darin Fitzgibbon, Darcy Fitzgibbon, Michelle Morrissey and Jennifer McKinzie.

As requested by Bob (in true Bob fashion) he did not want funeral services, but he wanted to have a “party.” Please join us Thursday, June 27th at the Knights of Columbus (Columbus Club), Davenport from 1:00 – 6:00 pm for a “party” to celebrate Bob.
