

Visitation will be held from 12-2 p.m. on Thursday, May 29, at the Runge Mortuary, followed by a funeral service at 2 p.m. in the mortuary chapel. He will be laid to rest in Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family.
Bob was born on October 28, 1930, in Davenport Iowa, to Elbert and Thelma (Hanchett) Willey. He was married to the love of his life, Colleen Willey. They enjoyed 76 years of marriage until her passing on March 8, 2025.
Bob was an auto body man, painter and a fabricator. He was the owner of Bob’s Body Shop for over 40 years. Bob enjoyed spending time with his family, midget and sprint car races and Indy car racing. In his younger years, Bob built his own race car. His number 74 car was driven in a race at the Houston Astrodome in Texas and won. He enjoyed road trips and picnics with his wife Colleen.
Those left to cherish his memory include his daughters, Mary Ann (Gary) Beerbower of Moline, IL, Nancy (Stephen) Talik of Coal Valley, IL, and Julie (Wyatt) York of Sherrard, IL; son, Mike Willey of Arizona; grandchildren: Robert (Amy) Lieby of Virginia, MN, Jesse Willey of Minnesota, Emily Talik of LeClaire, IA, Lynn (Jeramy) Hergert of Sherrard, IL, Marty (Jody) York of Cambridge, IL, and Bruce Willey of Arizona; along with 8 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Colleen Willey; parents, Elbert and Thelma Willey; and sister, Eleanor Keonig.
