Roy A. Brock Sr.

Our family would like to regretfully announce the passing of Roy Allen Brock Sr. He died October 3, 2018, at the age of 79 in Victorville, California after a courageous battle with cancer. Funeral services will be on Monday, October 15, 2018 at 12:00 p.m. in the Runge Mortuary Chapel, 838 E. Kimberly Road, Davenport. Visitation will be one hour before the services. Roy was born in Davenport, Iowa on September 4, 1939 the son of Roy Clifford Brock and Marcella (Devlin) Brock. He attended Saint Ambrose Academy and worked for Western and South Life Ins. Co. until retirement. Roy A. Brock was united in marriage to Dixie L. Hoxsey on March 5, 1957 in Davenport. Left to honor his memory are his siblings: Sharon Brock, Gary W. (Patricia) Brock and Kenneth (Lorrie) Brock. He will also be dearly remembered by their six children: Roy A. Brock Jr. of Adelanto, Doreen M. Anderson, Richard L. Brock and Robert D. Brock all of Davenport, Randall C. (Chris Ann) Brock of New Hampshire and Ronald C. (Misi) Brock, Adelanto. He also had 22 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife, Dixie, twin granddaughters, Sara Lee and Marie Joi Brock and great grandson, Zaiden Gage Brock.
