Shirley K. Richards, 73, of Walcott, Iowa passed away on Thursday, October 20, 2022. Per her request, cremation rites have been accorded. Services will be held at a later date.

Shirley was born on July 30, 1949 in Davenport, Iowa to Orlo and Shirley Crane. She graduated from Davenport Central High School in 1968. Following high school, she worked as a secretary for Overhead Door and Horizon Homes. Shirley loved to play BINGO, anything to do with True Crime, and Histories Mysteries Documentaries. Family was very important to her and she loved her pets just like they were family.

Those left to honor her memory are her children Carrie Richards, Jody (Kelly) Irwin, Sue (Homer) Appleby, Rodell Rasler, and James Rasler, Jr; ten grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; siblings: Mike (Patricia) Crane, Lori Crane, and Joli (Rance) Pierce; nieces Katie Crane, Megan (Jeff) Tharp; nephew Greg Pietz; and best friend Claudia Roberts.

She was preceded in death by her Life partner James Rasler and her parents.
