Stacey Kay Jones

Stacey Kay Jones, age 58, of Davenport Iowa, passed away Sunday August 18, 2024 at home surrounded by friends and family after a courageous battle with brain cancer. A celebration of life will be held October 19, 2024 starting at 2:00 pm at Hickory Creek Event Center in Davenport. In lieu of flowers, donations in Stacey’s name may be made to the Humane Society of Scott County.

Stacey was born January 23, 1966 in Davenport Iowa to Jerry Jones and Greta (Bennett) Carlson. She was a 1984 graduate of Davenport West High School. She was employed at Kaplan University and later at Tri-City Electric.

Stacey enjoyed camping and was a big fan of the Iowa Hawkeyes and Green Bay Packers. She loved attending races at the Iowa Speedway and rocking out to AC/DC and Kid Rock.

Stacey was united in marriage to Michael Keim on July 24, 2010; their love was seen by all and many were inspired by it.

Stacey greeted everyone with a smile and had the most contagious laugh, but don’t let her smile fool you, she could cuss more than her sailor husband Michael. Stacey loved watching haunted TV shows, becoming an unofficial expert on hauntings, as well as Big Foot.

She is survived by her husband of 14 beloved years, Michael Keim; brother Brad Jones; nephew Dalton; father Jerry (Charlene) Jones; sister in-law Karen (Joe) Fahrenkrug; brother in-law Mark (Tami) Keim; four-legged daughter Lil; along with many aunts, uncles and cousins. Her friends were her family and will be terribly missed by all!

Stacey was preceded in death by her mother Greta Carlson, brother Curtis Jones and the best four-legged girl ever, Bailey.
