Timothy D. Boon, 47, passed way Saturday, January 14, 2012 at his home. Cremation will be done with a memorial service to be held 11:30AM Saturday (1/21) at the Runge Mortuary & Crematory. The family will greet friends from 10:30AM until the service Saturday at the mortuary. Memorials may be made to NAMI Scott County or the Scott County Humane Society. On line condolences may be made at www.rungemortuary.com.Tim was born February 6, 1964 in Valparaiso, IN to Harold & Sharon (Tosch) Boon. He was veteran of the US Army having served 1982-1992. He had been employed for 15 years as an inspector for ALCOA.Tim’s passion was old classic movies and had converted many of them from VHS to DVD while building his large collection. He also had a strong love for his cats Moya & O’Malley.Survivors include his sister Susan Boon, North Ft. Meyers, FL; mother & step father Sharon & Bill Ley, Bettendorf; father Harold Boon, Rockford, IL; aunt Linda Smith; and uncles Roger, Robert, Larry & Rick Tosch.Tim was preceded in death by his grandparents, 2 aunts, and an uncle.
