Twyla May Stock

Twyla was born in Iowa City Iowa, IA on May 13, 1960 to Tomas Misner Sr. And Dorothy Edwards. She married Rowdy Stock in 1981 and later divorced. She then met the love of her life Michael Christensen. Michael preceded her in death in 2011. She later reconnected with Rowdy and became best friends. They drove each other nuts until he preceded her in death in 2023.

Twyla loved spending time with her grand babies and if not physically she loved a FaceTime chat session. She loved spending time with her special fur baby Angel. She enjoyed watching the Bears play and could listen to music for hours. She loved the blues and rock from “back in her day”. She was spiritual and loved plants of all kinds. Forever a hippie. Peace and love.

Twyla was survived by her son Derrick (Tera), daughters Ashley May and Tiea (Kim). Grandchildren Randi, Andrea, Alissa, Nathan, Annabelle Christine, Daisy Grace, and Stevie Rae. Several great grandchildren. Her sister Tina and brothers Wormy, Brian (Shawn), and Wayne. So many friends, life long friends and extended family.

Twyla was preceded in death by her parents, brother Tomie, brother in-law Bert, love of her life Mike, best friend Rowdy, and her son in law Eric.

Her wishes were to be cremated and laid to rest with her Mike. Inurnment and a small service will take place at a later date at Pine Hill Cemetery and a celebration of life to follow.

Her message to those closest to her “I will be back and you will know. It’s going to freak you out and it will be funny s***. Peace out.”
