

On Thursday October 16, 2025, Wayne Arlan Dengler, age 77, passed away in the early morning hours peacefully in his sleep. He was born on December 12th, 1947, in Scott County, Iowa; the son of the late Walter and Elaine Dengler.
He was raised and spent his entire life in Eldridge, Iowa, living and working for the family farm; he loved his home and the community. He went to North Scott Senior Highschool and University of Wisconsin – Platteville. He was a member of Cornerstone Church in Eldridge, Iowa. He met Nancy at a Singles In Ag event and they joined the singles no more group shortly after. He very much enjoyed dancing with Nancy, including Plus 60 events, Renaissance Dance Club, and at nursing homes. He was a member of the Moose Lodge. He liked traveling with his family and traveling to see friends in Louisiana and Wisconsin, spending time and playing cards with his friends and family, including an annual Euchre Tournament they hosted. He also enjoyed a relaxing evening with a movie and some popcorn. He was passionate about helping and spending time with his family and friends especially around the holidays, including making Ferden on New Years Day.
Wayne is survived and missed by his wife Nancy of 26 years; and his children, Christina (John) Barnes and Matthew (Lori) Dengler as well as Ric Kieler, Ben Kieler, and John (Leah) Kieler. He will also forever be in the hearts of his several grandchildren, Breck, Allison, Clayton, Jessie Kieler, and Ernest Dengler. Siblings and their families; Sharon (Victor) Bianchetta, Chris (Kristina) Bianchetta, Tony (Holly) Bianchetta, Cheryl (Dan) DiFonzo, Abby (Ben) Longmore, Jo (Joel) Carter; and his brother-in-law, Mark Lund. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Elaine as well as his sister Janis Lund and brother Allan Dengler.
A celebration of life will be held at 1pm on Saturday November 1st, 2025, at Cornerstone Church in Eldridge Iowa to share in time with family. A late lunch will be provided to enjoy together.
