

Wayne A. Mumm, 89, of Davenport, passed away on Saturday, December 13, 2025, in Milan. Per his wishes, cremation will take place. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Inurnment will be private at Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Prostate Cancer Foundation. Online condolences may be expressed at www.weertsfh.com.
Wayne was born on August 8, 1936, in his family’s home near McCausland. He graduated from a one-room schoolhouse and later enlisted in the United States Army, serving from 1958 to 1961. Wayne was united in marriage to Sandra Lee Wallerich, who preceded him in death in 2007.
Wayne worked at Alcoa as a machine operator with Union #105, retiring after 38½ years of dedicated service. He loved to travel alongside his girlfriend, Ruth, including a meaningful trip to Germany where he was able to visit places he had seen while serving in the Army. Wayne also enjoyed gardening, playing euchre at the Elks Club, an avid Iowa Hawkeye Fan and devoted animal lover. He had a loving and caring heart and will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
Those left to honor his memory include his children, Jeff Mumm of Davenport; Michael (Linda) Mumm of Milan, IL; Tammy Mumm of Davenport; and Laurie Bledsoe and her children, Jordan and Josh Bledsoe; grandchildren, Jason (Jamie) Thompson and Jennifer Hahn, Jack, Trey and Dillon Mumm; three great-grandchildren, Jack, Trey, and Dillon; and sisters, Shirley and Babe.
Wayne was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Sandra, two brothers, Curly and Rich, and two sisters, Lois and Doris.
