William Henry Wilcox, 94, of Davenport, passed away Friday, March 26, 2010 at Hope Creek Care Center. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 30, at 11:30 AM at The Runge Mortuary, with the Reverend John Moe officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the mortuary. Burial will be at Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to a favorite charity.
William was born August 3, 1915 in Davenport to Essie May and William Wilcox. He married Ester May Bond on February 18, 1939. They were married for 66 years; she preceded him in death on March 9, 2005.
Those left to honor his memory include his daughters; Mary Dietsch, E. Moline, Judy (Gene) Stolbom, Silvis, IL, 4 grandchildren; David (Tammy) Stolbom, Jeffrey (Nancy) Stolbom, Roberta (Neil) DePorter, Trish File, 6 great grandchildren; Melodie Stolbom, Megan Stolbom, Jamey Stolbom, Sydney Stolbom, Christain File, Ashleigh DePorter, sister-in-law Rachel Schumacher, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his wife, parents, four sisters, three brothers, and a grandson.
