Larry H. Short

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on March 13, 2023 at the Almira Community Church with pastors Paul McArthur and David Oliver of Almira Community Church officiating.

Larry was born in Almira to John J. (Jack) and Patricia Short. He attended Almira schools and graduated from Almira High School.

On what he considered one of the best days of his life, Larry married his true love, Beth Franklin

October 5, 1974.

For the past 35 years, Larry and Beth, with the sterling help of their children, owned and operated Short Septic Service. Larry was known throughout the region for quick response in emergencies, excellent customer service, and pride in a job well done. Evidence of his work is present in many communities throughout the region. He was thankful every day for the opportunity to serve his and the surrounding communities. He always said, "I have the best customers."

Larry was an active member of the Almira Community Church. When he wasn't working, could almost always be found with his family. Even the occasional golf trip couldn't keep him away from his loved ones he just took them with him.

Larry is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Duffy Nightingale.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Beth, his son Jeremy and wife Shona (MacDonald), of Lynden, WA, his daughter Elisabeth (Betsey) and husband Jason Evers of Almira, his daughter Melissa and husband Matthew McCoy of Wenatchee, his daughter Victoria and husband Luke Sconce of Wilson Creek, his son Ethan and wife Breeanna (Sconce) of Cheney, and his son, Zachary of Almira. Larry and Beth adored all seventeen grandchildren: Megahn, Maisie, Naomi, and Phoebe Short; Haley, Cole, Natalie, and Emily Evers; Chloe, Allie, Flinn, and Ivy McCoy; Bowen, Keenan, Gideon, Oliviana, and Callan Sconce. He is also survived by his brother, Stephen of Carnation, WA and his sister Tracey of Houston, TX. ·

The family would like to thank all our friends and family for your loving support over the last five years during Larry's epic battle. We are thankful that he is finally pain free and whole in the presence of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

A celebration of life for Larry will be held Monday, March 13, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Almira Community Church, 101 S. 2nd, Almira, WA.
