Michael C. Stauffer (age 51) died unexpectedly on April 20, 2020. Michael was born in Waterbury, CT December 18, 1968 to Charles & Joan Stauffer. He graduated from Wilby High School in 1986. He joined the United States Air Force in 1988 for 6 years, where he PCS to Fairchild AFB.
Michael began his career in Lincoln County as a reserve deputy in June of 1995. After 5 months he tested for dispatch/corrections deputy where he began his 25 year career serving the citizens of Lincoln County. Michael was promoted to Sergeant in May 2012 where he served for the next 8 years.
Michael became involved with the Washington State Association of Sheriff’s & Police Chiefs (WASPC), where he volunteered to be a Sergeant at Arms. He also led the Washington State FOP Inland Empire Lodge #8. He was a member of the Davenport Lions Club, serving as their treasurer.
Michael was always about serving, professionalism, and maintaining law & order. His life mission of service was always on the forefront. He was a guardian of peace and justice and will be missed forever.
Michael leaves behind his wife, Connie Stauffer; three children, Stephanie (Stauffer) King & husband Michael, Daniel Stauffer & wife Dakota, and Haylee Stauffer. Grandchildren, Kinley King & Ethan Stauffer, Mother Joan Stauffer; brother Mark Stauffer & wife Keely, and numerous nieces & nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father Charles Stauffer.
Sgt. Michael Stauffer memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, July 10, 2020 at Northern Quest Outdoor Venue. Strate Funeral Home is caring for the Stauffer family.
