

Passed away in Davenport, Washington on January 31, 2014. She was born on March 1, 1928 to Robert and Mary (McDowell) Furness in Creston, Washington. Myra attended and graduated from the Creston High School. Myra is survived by her four children: Bob (Jeanie) Campbell, Charlene Livell, Don (Kathy) Campbell, and Jim Campbell. Five grandchildren: Dusti (Brent) Kissler, Clint (Bonnie) Campbell, Luke Rodenbough, Mindi (Tylor) Marcotte, and Jamie Campbell; two great grandchildren Peter Campbell and Gracelynn Marcotte, her brother Don (Lulia) Furness along with several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Ernest Furness, and an infant sister. Myra was a member of the Creston Community Church. She was also a member of the VFW Auxiliary, the Wheatland Players; she was a former Den Mother as well. Myra coached girls softball, was a member of the Davenport PTA, the Lincoln County Historical Society, and she was also a 4-H Assistant leader. Myra enjoyed playing pinochle, family activities and family get-togethers, family outings and writing poems, stories and articles, directing plays and caring for animals. She loved the woods, the place where her dad grew up and where her mom was born and raised (the McDowell Canyon). Her biggest accomplishment was raising her four children who turned out pretty special. One of her fondest memories was chosen as the “Best Mom” in a 1964 contest. She loved camping, hiking and other activities with her four kids. Memorial service, Friday, February 7, 2014 at 1:00 PM at the Davenport-Edwall United Methodist Church, Davenport, WA.
