I only knew Artem for a short period of time. But his spirit greatly impacted my life as well as everyone around him. I will remember his smile and his kind words, as well as his amazing artistic ability and his never-ending hunger for life. You will be remembered Artem, and always loved. Andrey, Natasha, and Anastasia, Wayne and I are so very sorry. Anastasia, I also lost my dear older brother at a young age. My heart goes out to you as I know the pain you are feeling and am so very sorry. His love will always be in your heart. Andrey and Natasha, you are both such fine, intelligent, and fun-loving people who passed on your enthusiasm for life to your children. I feel a special kinship with Artem as I graduated from UD with a degree in fine arts. The creativity and love he gave to the world and shared with others will keep his memory alive. Please know we are thinking of you and your family.

We send our deepest condolences for the loss of our beloved grandson Artem Voevodin  to our son Andrey   , our daughter -in -law Natasha  and our  grandaughter Nastya , Artem was born in Russia and spend  his early years of his childhood here . He often visited us and was going to come to see us this autumn, We loved him very much , respected him and were proud of him. We are mourning and crying

I'm so sorry for the loss of your son, Artem.
My daughter Jessica Hartshorn and Artem got to be good friends in high school.  I remember driving Jessi over to your house or take Artem home after he'd been at ours.  They'd talk and laugh all the way. It was so cute. He was always very mannerly and respectful. 
He was a very nice young man.  He introduced her to Borscht. Jessi had talked to him a few months ago, and
was so sad to hear of his passing.

Natasha, Andrey and Anastasia, I remember with fondness meeting Artem for the first time as he entered my Kindergarten classroom knowing no English.  To five- and six-year-olds language does not seem to be a barrier and he quickly became friends with all of his classmates.  Artem was very bright so he advanced in his language skills quickly and moved out of my classroom and into 1st Grade.  In the short time that Artem was in my class our families became good friends and we have maintained that association over the ensuing years. Artem was one of the most loving and caring people I have ever had the chance to call my friend.  We stayed together a lot in both New Orleans and Oakland, CA. I will never forget the fun times we had together, he was always ready for anything, and I am very jealous of that trait. I am so sorry for your loss, I cannot imagine what you are going through.  I remember the phone calls he would make to you guys, speaking in Russian- I had no clue what he was saying, but when he would hang up we would have conversations about our parents. Such incredibly sad news. I remember Artem during the time before I left Dayton, when he was a young boy, so delightful, adventurous and really fun-loving. These memories make me smile. 

It's impossible to comprehend how can someone so young, full of life and hope can be suddenly gone.

I met Artem while at UD, I didn't know him very well, but he was always someone who crossed my mind from time to time. He was one of those people who touched so many people's lives and made such an impact anywhere he was. He was such a loving and passionate person. No words can describe the sadness this brings. I am so incredibly sorry for your loss. Few people have had the impact on my life that Artem has. His creativity was boundless and generous. While some hold their artistic instincts inside and save it all for the solitary moment of creation, Artem shared his light with all the world. He was an inspiration as an artist and as a man. I will never forget the times we shared, the wisdom he gave, and I will continue to draw inspiration from him. While he was taken from us too soon, you should be proud of the man you raised and if you can take comfort in the lives he touched and inspired.

Artem was one of my closest friends at UD. He offered every class and every other part of that campus a unique and talented voice and spirit.
