Augurio was born in 1930 in the mountains of Peru, but his vision of the future took him to the capital city of Lima, where he became an officer in the Investigative Police of Peru. In 1989, he immigrated with his family to the United States, settling in Dayton, Ohio. General Saldivar was known by friends and neighbors for his long daily walks. He was proof for all who knew him that physical vitality has no age limit. His spirit will continue through his wife Eileen, son and daughter-in-law Jose and Carla Saldivar, daughter Mariela Saldivar, daughter and son-in-law Maria and Christopher Tritch, granddaughter and her husband Carla and Bennett Weaver, son Hugo Saldivar, grandchildren Hugo, Jr. and Estela, and great grandchildren Romina, Amy, and Valeria.
