Barbara Ann Gilliam a loving wife, devoted mother and proud grandmother and sister, she went home to be with the Lord on December 27, 2024. With her strong faith, she honored God above all in how she lived her life, and her family is comforted knowing she is with Jesus in heaven forever. Barbara was born October 22, 1939, and raised in Dayton, Ohio. The daughter of George and Esther Berger. She graduated from Patterson Co-Op High School. She worked various hospitality jobs until she met her sweetheart Dale and married him in 1959. Barbara supported Dale in his career and was a devoted mother to her two sons. Dale’s career took him to Milwaukee, Wisconsin and Barbara welcomed the new opportunity to raise her family there. While there she developed a deep faith in God and supported her church. Barbara was always generous with her time and money and would rather give to someone in need than use it for herself. Barbara enjoyed travelling to Florida to visit her sister Carolyn and visiting her dear friends Janie and Willis Wheeler. Barbara also enjoyed playing cards and supporting various not-for-profits. During her 37-year marriage to Dale, she became the proud mother of Jim Gilliam and Mike Gilliam. Barbara is the beloved “maamaw” to her grandchildren Brandon, Chelsea, Dale, Anne, Benjamin, and Elizabeth. She is also survived by her sister Carolyn. Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, George and Esther and her husband, Dale. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in support of the M.S. Society. Arrangements were entrusted to Tobias Funeral Home-Beavercreek Chapel.
