Catherine Sue Casey

Catherine "Kathy" Casey, age 70 of Miamisburg, Ohio, passed away Saturday, August 31, 2024, after a nine month battle with cancer. She was born and raised in Kettering, Ohio and graduated high school from Kettering Fairmont High School. Kathy went on to achieve an associate's degree in nursing from Sinclair Community College in 1976 and a Bachelor's degree in nursing in 2006. Kathy touched the lives of many people and after more than four decades of working as an OR nurse, she retired from Southview Hospital. She was also a long time member of the Moose in Miamisburg.

Kathy was preceded in death by her parents Beckham and Gladys Moore of Dayton, Ohio, and her husband Kevin R. Casey. She is survived by two sisters, Connie (Steve) Sexton of Centerville, Ohio and Donna (Tom) James of Centerville, Ohio; one brother, George (Jenny) Moore of Centerville, Ohio; four children, Michelle (Jason) Nocero of Carlisle, Ohio, Jillian Schafer of Miamisburg, Ohio, Stephanie (J.D.) McCoy of Lebanon, Ohio and Matthew Schafer of Dayton, Ohio. She will be very sadly missed by her seven grandchildren Bradley and Alyssa Nocero, Sophia Schafer, and Morgan, Riley, Olivia and Beau McCoy. She also had many aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews that she adored.

There will be a viewing at TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME- FAR HILLS CHAPEL, 5471 Far Hills Ave. at Rahn Rd. Dayton, OH 45429, Saturday September 7, 2024 from 9:00 am until time of services at 11:00 am. Burial will be at Miami Valley Memory Gardens, 1639 E. Lytle 5 Points Rd, Centerville, Ohio, following the services.
