Cherie Steel (Bishop), 66, of Kettering passed away peacefully on January 12, 2023. Born in Dayton to the late Dale and Barbara (Stamm) Bishop. She is also proceeded in death by her brother Russell Bishop. Cherie is survived by her daughter Valerie Gifford, Grandchildren Derek and Jenna Gifford, and brother Randy Bishop. Cherie was a graduate of Miamisburg High School. She retired from the Dayton Metro Library. Cherie’s world revolved around her family and friends. Her grandkids were the light of her life. Cherie was a fighter and battled health issues most of her life. She will be remembered for her incredible strength, her amazing resilience and most of all a heart of gold.
