Connie Sue Mitchell

Connie Sue Mitchell age 58, of Huber Heights, Ohio went home to be with her Lord on September 27, 2021 at Kettering Medical Center. She was born on July 24, 1963 to parents Lonnie and Margaret Ann Mitchell. She is survived by her father, Lonnie Mitchell; her son, Jonathan (Miriah) Mitchell; grandson, Connor Mitchell; brothers, Rick (Sue) Mitchell, of Columbus, Ohio, David (Sheila) Mitchell, of Lima, Ohio; sister, Lisa (Mark) Fernald, Dayton, Ohio, and many, many nieces, nephews and family members. She was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Margaret Ann Mitchell.

Connie pursued a career in management with the Meijer Corporation. She was an exemplary employee for more than 34 years, and she had an incredibly strong work ethic. She served Meijer in various capacities over her long career. She established herself as an excellent leader and was loved by her team.

Connie was a member of the Miamisburg Full Gospel Tabernacle where she served her loving Savior alongside her family and friends for many, many years. She was a dedicated worker and prayer warrior for her church family.

Family to Connie was everything. She dedicated her life to her family. They were her world. The apple of her eye was her grandson, Connor. She was a loving mother, daughter, sister, and mamaw. Connie loved camping, hiking, and fishing. One of her favorite things to do was spending time with family around a campfire. Her true happy place was wherever Connor was. She was creative and loved drawing, writing poetry, and playing the guitar. She touched many, many lives and will be dearly missed by anyone who knew her. She was a friend to everyone, and a good ear to anyone who needed it. The void left by her death will be impossible for anyone to fill.

The family will receive friends from 5 PM - 8 PM Monday, October 4, 2021 at the Harshman Church, 2141 Harshman Road, Dayton, OH 45424. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday morning, October 5, 2021 at 10 AM at the church. Burial to follow the funeral service at Valley View Memorial Gardens.
