

Krohn, Dale Lee, Age 73 of Dayton, passed away on Sunday, May 17, 2026. He is preceded in death by his parents, Mary Lou Krohn and Donald Krohn; and sister, Sandra Lindhorst. Dale is survived by his loving wife, Jan Krohn; sons Will (Emily) Krohn and Tommy (Bri) Krohn; and grandson, Cooper Krohn. He is also survived by a sister, Julie (Shawn) Voges; aunt, Carole (Bob) Wittman; mother-in-law, Joan Greiner; brother-in-law, Guy (Linda) Williams; and many beloved cousins. Dale graduated from Chaminade High School, Class of ’70. He went on to receive his B.A. from The University of Cincinnati College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning. After college he worked as an architect for Mark Beachler and Associates, the Mead Corporation, and retired in 2016 from the Civil Engineering Department at Wright-Patterson AFB. He was a member of Peace Lutheran Church where he enjoyed being part of the choir. Dale was an avid movie goer, Ohio Buckeyes football and Cincinnati Bengals fan, who listened to jazz and loved gardening. The family will receive friends at the Tobias Funeral Home – Beavercreek Chapel from 4 pm – 8 pm on Thursday, May 21. A memorial service will be held at Peace Lutheran Church, Beavercreek at 10 am Friday, May 22, 2026 with Rev. Carey Hovland officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Peace Lutheran Church or ALS United of Ohio. The family is deeply grateful for the kindness, compassion and care provided by Dr. Deardorff and the ALS Team at Miami Valley Hospital South, ALS United of Ohio, and the MVHS ICU nurses.
