Dale A Mayhew

Dr. Dale Allan Mayhew, age 81, passed away at Bethany Village, Dayton OH on September 18, 2021. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to many. He was born on May 28, 1940 in Greene, New York to Dr. William and Helen (Reed) Mayhew, both predeceased. He is survived by his loving wife, Marilyn Mayhew, Bethany Village, Dayton, OH whom he married on June 16, 1962. He is also survived by his children, Daughter & Son-in-law Lisa and Andrew Sievers, Springboro, OH and Son and Daughter-in-law William and Janet Mayhew, Round Lake, IL. He also leaves his grandchildren Michael and Travis Wheeler, Liberty Township, OH, Kaitlyn Sievers and Paul Hynes, Columbus, OH, Sydney Mayhew, Round Lake, IL, and Rees Mayhew, Round Lake, IL. He is survived by his sisters, Betty Cosen, Wilmington, NC, Jeanne Marshman, Oxford, NY, Nancy (Robert) Havens, Crete, IL, and sister-in-law Susan Mayhew Raleigh NC. Also survived by his sister-in-law, Cindy Roser, Greene, NY, and brother-in-laws Richard (Susan) Hoke, Oxford, NY, Thomas (Betty) Winner, Southport, NC, Ronald (Wendy) Winner, Hyannis, MA, David (Mary) Winner, Titusville, FL and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother David Mayhew and brother-in-laws Fred Cosen and Dan Marshman. Dale graduated from Oxford Academy & Central School in 1958, he received his BS from Marietta College in 1962, his MS from University of Kansas in 1965, and his PHd-Pharmacology from Indiana University in 1968. He loved gardening, golfing and especially traveling the world with his wife. There will be a memorial service to be held at a later date.
