David Lee Dutton

Dave graduated from Hilliard High School. After high school, he joined the Navy being stationed in Scotland, before earning his Bachelor’s Degree at Antioch College. Dave worked for NCR, McDonald’s, Capital One and a couple consulting firms in Data Management. After retiring the first time, he went back to work for Booz, Allen Hamilton at Wright Patterson Air Force Base.

Dave loved his Ohio State Buckeyes and planned fall weekends around their games. Having seasons tickets, he was also an avid University of Dayton basketball fan. He played baseball into his 60s, enjoyed flipping tires at Cross Fit and bowled in several bowling leagues throughout his life.

Dave’s grandchildren were the joys of his life. Whether visiting them, vacationing every year at the OBX with them or babysitting for them, Dave enjoyed every minute he spent with them.

Survivors include his loving wife of 39 years Pat (Harrington) Dutton; four children Ann, Sue (Brad) Devine, Chris (Val), and Jim (Stephanie); five grandchildren Ava, Will, Isaac, Rey and Noah; two brothers Jeff (Linda) and Randy (Connie); sister-in-law Kathy Ramirez; brother-in-law Jim Harrington; niece Courtney Harrington; and three nephews Carey (Melissa), Bryan, and Conor Harrington, as well as extended family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 10-11:30am, followed by a service at 11:30am on September 21 at Tobias Funeral Home, 5471 Far Hills Rd, Dayton 45429.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his honor to the Michael J Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.
