Dee met Troy at Oklahoma State A&M (now Oklahoma State University), and married 2-24-1951. They were married 67 years (Troy passed 11-15-2018).
In her younger years, Dee & Troy were leaders of their church youth group. Dee was also a Missions leader in her church, sang in the church choir, and led the choir for some time. She was a member of Parkview Church of the Nazarene.
In retirement years, Dee & Troy enjoyed traveling with their motorhome & spent winters in California & Florida with family, creating many cherished memories.
Dee loved being around family & friends, and going to the fitness center. She played church softball, was on a bowling league, & played golf. She also loved to read, and play on her IPad/computer. She retired from bookkeeper positions (Gold Circle, Stengers Ford, Ferguson’s), & also worked with Weight Watchers until age 83. She loved going to church and loved her church family (especially her visitors in recent years!). She also loved her caregivers & friends at Centerville Post Acute.
Dee will be remembered for her “spunk” (determination, assertiveness, stamina). She loved to hurry up to get things done! She loved family meal times, & loved for her kids to visit! Dee’s legacy is her Christian faith in our Lord Jesus Christ. She is now in heaven with Troy!
