PEACOCK, Donald Jerry, 82, of Kettering, OH, passed away November 21, 2018. Donald was born January 10, 1936 in Scottsburg, Indiana. Donald was preceded in death by parents, Charles LeRoy and Irene (Bowman) Peacock, brothers, Charles LeRoy Jr. and Richard Peacock. Don is survived by his wife of 53 years Rose (Shane) Peacock, twin brother Ronald Gerry Peacock, and many more beloved nieces and nephews. Don was a graduate of Tulane University, class of 1952. Soon after college, Don went to work at WPAFB as a physicist and worked there for 35 years. Don was always interested in bowling, golf, and tennis. He played tennis for over 20 years, participating in and winning several tournaments. Don was president of the American Model Sailing Association. He won many trophies in sailing remote control boats. In the mid-70s, Don became interested in fiction writing. He published three books of short stories and was working on a fourth. Don was a member of the First Baptist Church of Dayton, Ohio. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the church. Thank you everyone, for your many acts of kindness over the years. A visitation will be held from 1 – 2:30 PM on Friday November 30, 2018, at Tobias Funeral Home – Belmont Chapel 648 Watervliet Ave. Dayton, OH 45420, followed by a memorial service at 2:30 PM.
