Dorothy Mae Brewer

BREWER, Dorothy Mae (Mendenhall), age 85, was called to her heavenly home Saturday, February 13, 2016 at IU West Hospital, Avon, Indiana. She was born on Saturday, May 8, 1930 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Raymond and Mildred (Conley) Mendenhall. Dorothy married Donald Eugene Brewer on January 28, 1950. They celebrated 42 years together until his death in 1993. She was a homemaker. Dorothy is survived by her son, Donald Eugene Brewer, Jr. and daughter-in-law, Nancy of Avon, Indiana; daughter, Judith Mae Brewer, of Avon, Indiana; a sister, Ruth Mendenhall Kenney Sacksteder; grandchildren, Shannon (Ron) Emmert, Justin (Lisa) Brewer, Lance (Allison) Brewer; great grandchildren, Eli, Evan, Elan, Hudson, Isabella, Jackson and Aubree. She is preceded in death by her husband, Donald; brother, Donald Mendenhall. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 pm Friday, February 19, 2016 in Tobias Funeral Home, 5471 Far Hills Avenue at Rahn Road, Dayton, Ohio 45429, with funeral services there at 1:00 p.m. Pastor Stephen H. Kimpel officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Dayton, Ohio. Memorial contributions in honor of Dorothy may be made to the donator’s favorite charity.
