

Dorothy DeHaven, age 93 of Fairborn, passed away peacefully on August 10, 2024. She is preceded in death by her parents Roy and Eunice Wilson, her siblings: Hazel, Noble, Cecile, Charlene, Harman, Hulan, James, Troy and Worley; three children: Larry Joe, R.D. Jr and Diane; two grandchildren: Roger and Amanda, and great-granddaughter Brooke. She is survived by her two children: Donnie Ledbetter and Margie Young; and many other grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren along with many other family members and friends. She was cared for, in her last months, by her great-granddaughter Katie who held a special place in her heart.
Dorothy was a daughter, sister, mother, grand and great-grandmother, and friend to many. She moved to Dayton and worked at Fridigaire and later at General Motors. She made a wonderful life in the community by not only caring for her friends and family but many others as a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Dorothy spent many years serving and worshipping the Lord at Bethany Baptist Church in Dayton. She is remembered fondly with love for many things such as her witty personality, caring ways and her untouched skill in the kitchen just to name a few. She will be missed and be forever loved by many.

A visitation for Dorothy will be held Tuesday, August 20, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Tobias Funeral Home, 3970 Dayton Xenia Road, Beavercreek, Ohio, followed by a funeral service at 11:30 AM. Dorothy will be laid to rest in Valley View Memorial Gardens.
