Edith L. Ward, age 91, passed away at Miami Valley Hospital on Tuesday, July 18th, 2017. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Clara Swerking; husband of 62 years, Robert Ward; son, Stephen Ward and sister, Laveda Biery. She is survived by her daughters, Sherri (David) Hungler and Pam (Doug) Teets; sisters, Clara Motter and Janet Armstrong; grandchildren, Amanda (Chris) Flathers, Ryan (Jessica) Teets, Andrew Hungler and great-grandchild, Cooper Flathers. Edith was a member of Belmont Eastern Star and attended Faith Lutheran Church for many years. She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be missed dearly by all who knew her. Funeral service will take place on Monday, July 24th, 2017 at 12:00 pm at Tobias Funeral Home- Belmont Chapel, 648 Watervliet Ave., Dayton, Ohio 45420 with burial immediately following at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery, 8135 N Dixie Dr., Dayton, OH 45414. Visitation will take place from 11:00 am until the time of service on Monday at the funeral home.
