Edward B. Eckley

ECKLEY, Edward B. age 81 of Kettering, went to be with his Heavenly Father and Shirley on Friday, May 11, 2012 in his home, after spending the morning doing the things he loved, he then closed his eyes in this world and opened them in Paradise. He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Eckley; parents, Bud and Betty Eckley; brother, John Eckley and sister, Joan Zimmer. Edward is survived by his children, Theresa A. Eckley, Edward C. Eckley, Erich B. and wife Christine Eckley, Craig S. and wife Teri Eckley, David J. and wife Stephanie Eckley, Pamela S. and husband SFC (Retired) John Musser, and Scott D. and wife Lisa Eckley; 20 grandchildren; brother, Clarence “JR” Eckley Jr.; sister, Janet and husband Richard Meyer; sisters-in-law Barb Eckley and Sandra and husband Thomas Budde; aunt, Dorothy Staeuble; and many other family and friends. Edward was a naval veteran of the Korean War. He retired as a civil servant at WPAFB from the PEMEL lab. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 AM Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at the Church of the Ascension, 2025 Woodman Dr. Kettering, OH 45420. Interment Calvary Cemetery. His family will receive friends from 5:00 to 8:00 PM Monday, May 14 at TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME – BEAVERCREEK CHAPEL, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Rd. at Grange Hall.
