Edward "Ed" H Hiffner

HIFFNER, Edward H., age 83, with his family by his side, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Wednesday, May 20, 2015. Ed was born in Union Town, Ohio to the late George and Susie Hiffner. He was a 1951 graduate of Greensburg High School. Ed was a Veteran Sergeant of the United States Marine Corps, who retired from D.E.S.C. after 37 years of service. He was also a faithful member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church. He is preceded in death by his sisters; Anna, Helen, and Pauline, and brother Robert. Ed is survived by his children; Timothy(Karina)Hiffner of Akron, OH., Melanie(Scott)Mugge of Columbus, OH., and Barry(Betsy)Hiffner of Peru, IN., grandchildren; Rachel, Sarah, and Elizabeth Mugge, and Lucas and Nathan Hiffner, brothers Richard and George Hiffner, and sister Evelyn Barnes. Family will receive friends Friday, May 22, 2015 from 5:00PM-8:00PM at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church 4865 Wilmington Pike Kettering, OH 45440; where service will be held 11:00AM Saturday, May 23, 2015, with Rev. Mark Carlson officiating. Burial will follow Mount Zion Shoup Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the church's endowment fund or Ohio Right to Life.
