
CUMMINGS, Emma L., age 81 of Dayton, formerly of Englewood, passed away Sunday, January 15 2012 at Walnut Creek Nursing Center. Emma was born on May 27, 1930 in Erlanger, Kentucky to the late Hillary and Ella Kenny Riegler. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Edward G. Cummings, who passed away on July 15, 2010 and a brother, Jack Rieger. She is survived by her five children, Jerry Cumming of Fairborn; Mary (Michael) Wilson of Fairmount, Indiana; Barbara (Allen) Cope of West Carrollton, Ohio, Chris Cummings of Anna, Ohio and Mark Cumming of Centerville, Ohio; nine grandchildren, Nicole, Ashley, Brent, McKensey, Matthew, Luke, Joey, Ben and Macy; and two great grandchildren, Triston and Paxton. Emma was a graduate of Julianne High School, Miami Jacobs and employed at Maria Joseph for several years. She was a former member of St. Rita’s Catholic Church in Englewood and volunteered at the Second Shelf. The family would like to thank all the staff at Walnut Creek for their loving care.
