SCOTT, Glenn Edward, age 94 of Huber Heights, went to be with his Lord on Friday, November 23, 2018. He was born in Big Stone Gap, VA to the late Arthur and Mary Scott. He was preceded in death by his brothers Clifford, Leo, Gale and Kyle, and sisters Lois and Agnes.
He is survived by his wife Mildred Scott, children Frances Kramer, Arthur (June) Scott and Carolyn (Art Watson) Scott, 9 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, 10 great-greatgrandchildren.
Glenn joined the United States Army Air Corps the day after Pearl Harbor at the age of 17. While he was stationed in Hawaii he became a boxer and enjoyed cock fights.
He was the owner and operator of Scott’s Lumber in Big Stone Gap, VA and Scott’s Landscaping in Dayton. He had also worked at Chrysler Air Temp. Glenn loved his wife, kids and grandkids and enjoyed spending time with them. He loved fishing.
Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Thursday, November 29, 2018 at the Spaulding Road Church of God, 1658 Spaulding Rd. with Pastor Larry Thomas and Brother Dodge officiating
The family will receive friends at the church from 10 am until the time of services on Thursday, November 29. Interment will follow at 1 pm in Dayton National Cemetery.
