Harold was a one of a kind man; deeply spiritual, intelligent, raw, funny, passionate about things that most of us take for granted. One day I got a phone call from him. He raved about a carrot he had bought at the local coop. We talked about the "suchness" of carrots, how the earth the sun, and the weather bring us miracles.

He and I played A LOT of guitar together, especially from 1975 to 1979 when I finally committed to my own music and moved to Boston. Sure enough, every time I came home, we'd make it a point to play guitar, take a walk at Bergamo, and just hang out.

Harold was one of my first gurus, a sometimes misunderstood word from India that simply means "teacher". I had not seen my dear friend in recent years, but he was always in my heart, and in my heart he will remain. Harold, I hope you took the Country Gentleman guitar with you on the next part of your journey.

Dr. Steven Kleinhenz and Far Oaks Orthopedists staff would like to express our sincere sympathy for Harold's family and friends. We will miss him.  Over the years we shared many stories about his children and especially his grandchildren. The grand daughter, Rhea, when she was young would like to come to the clinic with her grandpa and job shadow the Medical Assistant.  We enjoyed her so much.

Harold was another grandparent to me, and was always that. He inspired my sister, Rhea, and I's love for music. I have many memories of staying over when I was young and watching The Lion King, The Princess Bride, and Harold and the Purple Crayon. He's been nothing but aloving grandfather, and father. He'll be missed and always loved.
Thank you for helping me find a passion for music, something that will never leave me. I hope you're somewhere you can enjoy nature and jam just like you always have.

I was honored when Harold stood as my best man.  We enjoyed long talks, often while walking in the woods, where grey or sunny skies were welcomed equally by Harold, a man who appreciated and accepted whatever life had to offer.  Although not a churchgoer, Harold spoke of god and lived a humble, deeply spiritual life.   And Harold walked his talk - you could always depend on what he told you and his insights were spot on.  He loved and well cared for his family and he loved his friends and truly found joy in their happiness.   Solid as a rock and with a heart of gold was Harold.  I will greatly miss this sweet, kind and loving human being,

Anyone that knew Harold, knew of his love for his family, and his pride in his family. 
We know of his love of enjoying The Rolling Stones, jamming with friends, a good fire and for hiking through nature' beauty, of treasured times at The Narrow's Reserve in earlier days.
Harold, we will all miss that million dollar smile of yours. 
Rest in peace, friend -  stress  free and healthy. 
Give Cocoa a loving pat for all of us. We know she was waiting for her "Grand-paw" at heaven's gate. 

I have happy childhood memories of Harold coming over to our house doing guitar "jam" sessions with my brothers in our living room. Lots of music and laughter!

I am remembering Harold with much love. He is the father of our daughter Mira. I am grateful for our many years of marriage and family life. We shared so many precious times together. The most cherished was the birth of our daughter, Mira. I loved our many family camping trips with Mira and Jermie, being with friends, going to festivals, family events, watching favorite shows, sharing common interests in yoga, listening to music, singing and playing guitar together. Harold was always a good friend and neighbor.  He always encouraged me to walk and we would talk about our knee pains and how the walking helped.  We talked about our families and friends.  I will miss him a lot.  So sorry for his family and friends.  He never had a bad thing to say about anyone.  Occasionally you could hear him jamming oldies like Neil Young and George Harrison.  I think the last song I heard him singing was While My Guitar Gently Weeps. Heaven gained an angel and we lost a great man.

Missing Harold words cannot express.  Harold was a great person and a great friend to me..

Sending love and light to you Harold.. I know you are now at peace and not suffering or hurting. We are sad you are not here, but we know you were in pain. And we never wanted that for you.

You are missed greatly and you will always hold a special spot in all of our hearts and souls. I am sad I didn't get to hug you one more time or say "Love you grandpa, I will see you soon"...
