Helen Rogers

ROGERS, Helen (Kirkpatrick), age 83 of Riverside, passed away on Monday, June 12, 2017. She was preceded in death by her husband Elmer Rogers, parents Dorsey and Effie Kirkpatrick, sisters Shirley Kirkpatrick and Ruth Rogers, and brother Melvin Kirkpatrick. She is survived by her daughters Karen (Ron) Stott and Kimberly Rogers, grandchildren Jessica (Rob) Bowman, Ryan (Hannah) Stott, Dawn (Jeffrey) Thullen, and David (Joy) Stott, great-grandchildren Haley Mosher, Nathan Babin, Ellie Babin, Elijah Babin, Noah Stott, Sophia Stott, Levi Bowman, and Aaliyah Stott. Helen loved the Lord and ensured her light shown for her family and everyone she came in contact with. She enjoyed serving in many areas of her Christian life; VBS, WMU, Sunday school, kitchen and choir. She was a true witness of her faith. Her interest included crochet, quilting, gardening, cooking, and serving others. She will dearly be missed. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Friday, June 16, 2017 at The First Baptist Church of Kettering, 3939 Swigart Rd. with Pastor Jim Gifford officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the church from 10 am until the time of services on Friday.
