Idryiss Ahmad Thomas was born on April 22, 1991 in Atlanta, Georgia to Cheyenne Maria Ratleff and Vincent Edward Thomas Jr.
Idryiss was preceded in death by his mother to which he shared an insurmountable bond. He is survived by his Father, three sisters; Cherae, Kristian and Neah & five brothers; Vincent, Tarif, Naeem, Tyrese, and Najee. As well as twenty-nine nieces and nephews, three great-nephews, his significant other (Heather), and a multitude of uncles, aunts, cousins and friends. Idryiss cherished time spent with his family but found most joy in being an awesome uncle. Idryiss had accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior and was a fervent lover of God, allowing him to give love unconditionally. He was known by family, friends, co-workers and those who crossed his path for his heart-warming smile and charismatic personality. Oh yeah let’s not forget to mention those amazing, breath taking hugs he gave so generously to those he adored. Idryiss spread love with words of peace and encouragement to all those who listened. His love for baseball afforded him opportunities to travel and play for various minor league teams across the United States, making a mark in each and every place. Juice as he liked to be called on the baseball diamond, was often passing time on the field where he felt the most at peace. God’s Word is what kept him grounded. As Idryiss was often heard by many using the phrase, “remember God’s Divine Purpose”. His last read was Psalm 33. He will be greatly missed by many. May his soul rest in Heaven.
