Janice Norris

Janice Norris passed on May 16, 2026, at the age of 84, having been born on May 8, 1942, and residing in Dayton, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Norris in 2001, and by a son, Kenneth, in 1999. She is survived by her daughter, Dorothy (Steve) Profitt of Carlisle, OH, and her son, Douglas Norris of Dayton. She is survived by two grandchildren: Stephanie (Shaun) Smith of South Charleston, OH and Justin (Brittany) Keller of Germantown, OH. Five great grandchildren also survive her: Nicholas, Leanna, Nolan, Chase and Charlotte. A sister, Vivian (Dave) Lansing also survives her as do several other extended family members; Joan (Herb) and Sandy, and many friends. She retired from General Motors Vandalia Plant after many years of service. She was a kind and loving person who admired nature and enjoyed feeding the ducks, camping and bird watching. She also loved dogs and time spent in her flower garden. She had a witty sense of humor and enjoyed the writing of Erma Bombeck. Her memory will be a blessing and may we carry forth her legacy of love and compassion in all we do. Graveside service will be held at the Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery on Friday, May 22, 2026 at 2 PM.
