Jay Ward Clark (JW), age 59, of Fairborn, passed away peacefully July 17, 2018. He was born July 15, 1959 in West Palm Beach, Florida, son of the late James Ward Clark and the late Mildred Elizabeth (Hodges) Clark. Jay wed Karen Elane Lewis May 8, 1993. They enjoyed 22 years together before her passing on October 17, 2015. They lived together in happiness and now they rest together in peace.Survivors include his loving daughters: Crissi (Mike) Sturgell, Christina (KC) Doolin, Michelle (Huston) Valentine, and son-in-law Nathan Valentine. He loved being Papaw Jay to his six grandbabies: Maddison, Peyton, Bella, Ava, Kennedy and Reynholm. Survivors also include his in laws that he could not escape from, even after the passing of his wife: Linda and Steve Cunningham, Gordon and Renee Lewis, and Laura and Rob Muller. He is also survived by his sister Nan Nell Clark, a large extended family, and his dog Baxter. Jay never met a stranger and is also survived by many friends he considered family.In addition to his wife and parents, Jay was preceded in death by his brothers Gary Clark and Mark Clark, and his in laws Gordon and Fama Lewis. He was also preceded in death by his spoiled little dog BeBe.Born and raised in Florida, Jay graduated from Clewiston High School. After graduation, he served in the US Army before relocating to Ohio. He was a truck driver, most recently working for SAIA. Jay enjoyed spending time with his family, riding his Harley, and taking road trips. He was loyal and generous which made up for the fact that he could be pretty grumpy. He had a huge heart and will be sorely missed. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Sunday, July 22, 2018 at the Tobias Funeral Home, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Rd. at Grange Hall Rd. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:30 pm until the time of services on Sunday. “Though the course may change sometimes, rivers always reach the sea."
