Joseph F Desjardins

DESJARDINS, Joseph F., age 80 of Dayton, Ohio passed away peacefully with his family by his side Friday, December 9, 2011 at the Sycamore Glen Health Center. He was born in Kapuskasing, Ontario, Canada to the late Joseph A. and Albina(Santerre)Desjardins. At the age of fifteen Joe came to the United States and went to work at Western Electric. He also served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. After the war Joe returned to Dayton and was employed with AT&T until he retired. He was a lifetime member of; American Legion Post 675, VFW Post 9927, Royal Canadian Legion and the Retired Telecom Pioneers. Joe is survived by his wife Carol (Stidham) Desjardins, and his children; William(Mirna)Desjardins of Tampa, FL., Aline(Tom)Reeb of Kansas City, MO., Joseph(Kathy)Desjardins of Greenville, OH., Suzanne(Ken)Lindsay of Menasha, WI., Marie(Michael)Hammond of Columbus, OH., and Tony(Angie)Desjardins of Beavercreek, OH., seventeen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Family to receive friends Monday, December 12, 2011 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM, at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME- Far Hills Chapel; where funeral service will be held 1:00PM Tuesday, December 13, 2011, with Rev.
