

Sue met her husband and the love of her life, Dwane Henry Sr., in high school. They went on to have three children and celebrate sixty years of marriage. Sue was a devoted homemaker who took great pride in caring for her family. After raising her young children, she worked for several years at the Community Blood Center. Sue greatly valued education, and went on to earn her Associate's Degree at Sinclair College. Sue, alongside her husband, taught her family perseverance and the value of hard work. She worked diligently for many years as an Occupational Therapist, helping improve the lives of many patients in her care. Sue retired from Bethany Village in 2014. Sue found joy in spending time with her family, traveling on vacations, line dancing, and the simple things in life like a clean home and a fresh cup of coffee.
Sue will always be remembered for her strong will and devotion to her family as a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She leaves behind two daughters, Rebecca (John) Daring, and Tara (Bruce) Walker; grandchildren, Michael (Amber) Henry, Jessica (Gage) Johnson, Brandilyn (Joseph) Quinn, Jordan (Jennifer) Daring, Shawn-Leigh (Doug) Shields, Jarrod (Taylor) Henry, and Trevor (Mackenzie) Walker; great-grandchildren, Parker, Talon, Peyton, Haidyn, Chloe, Preston, Callum, Madisyn, Ciaran, Hunter, Harmon, and Harlan.
Sue is preceded in death by her parents, William Harris and Mary Gummer; brother, Richard Whitley, and sister, Helen House; devoted husband, Dwane Henry Sr.; and beloved son, Dwane Henry Jr.
A visitation for Juanita will be held Thursday, January 23, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Tobias Funeral Home, 3970 Dayton Xenia Road, Beavercreek, Ohio, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM.
Juanita will be laid to rest in Woodland Cemetery, 118 Woodland Ave., Dayton, Ohio 45409.
