Judith Ann (nee Tobias) Thomas, age 81, passed away unexpectedly on February 4, 2026 in North Carolina. Originally from Dayton, OH, graduate of Belmont High School, Judy spent time in the Carolina’s and Florida over the years. She had various jobs, but her passion was being a nanny to several families in the places she had lived.
Judy’s love for children led to her adopting several children in her lifetime, some with special needs.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bernice and Howard “Russ” Tobias, siblings Ronald Tobias and James and wife Jane Tobias, and children Heather and Stacy.
Judy is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Connie and Andrew Powell, children Penny, twins Jody and Jill, Kelly, and Robbin, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, partner Gary Price, and special friend Donna Conkle.
Private family services will be held in the Spring.
